Dear Friends,

Some highlights and fun facts:

  • Over 140 people attended the event
  • Ages of participants ranged from a 4 month old infant to two octogenarians
  • Attendees came from several cities in Central Indiana: Carmel, Columbus, Fishers, Greenwood, Indianapolis, Southport, and Terre Haute- BAI is a regional organization, so the range of participation is encouraging and significant
  • There were 36 participants in the inaugural “Role Models” fashion show- a big shout out to everyone who participated!
  • A check for $1,000 was presented to the charitable organization: School on Wheels- that will help support one disadvantaged child’s academic needs throughout one school year
  • The cast of the natok included community members in their 20s to their 60s.
  • Additionally the cast of the natok included community members from the last 4 BAI ECs, including the current EC
  • 7 children from our community participated in the music soiree and the natok
  • Children from our community took charge at the registration desk
  • Several community members, including children, stayed from start to finish, and assisted with setup and clean upIn spite of having a number of very young children in attendance, there were no complaints of damages or disruptions from the school
  • Three community leaders were honored at the inaugural induction ceremony of the 2017 BAI Hall of Fame, for their contributions in 2017

As a community our goal is to have a great time celebrating our cultures and traditions, to do our part to give back to our community, and to prepare our children along the way, such that they can become the carry forward our traditions and values. Thank you once again for supporting BAI’s goals through your active participation and involvement.

Best regards,
