Thanks to all the 66 individuals that attended the picnic and GBM. Thank you also for your gracious feedback regarding the venue and the picnic food. We are glad that unlike the past several picnics the weather God were kind on Saturday, which added to the enjoyment of the event.
We are delighted that children of the community did a fantastic job with selling snow cones and homemade cookies, and raised a whopping $171. BAI will supplement with $129 from our charityaccount, to present a check for $300 to the Riley Children's hospital. We are very proud of the civic stewardship demonstrated by our young leaders!
Several people stayed back to help with clean up and then participated in a walkathon, through hi which we explored some additional areas of the beautiful Eagle Creek Park.
Thanks to all of you who actively participated. To all who did not have the opportunity to RSVP, or RSVPed but did not have the opportunity to attend, we missed you- look forward to seeing you all at the next events!
For your quick reference, the next three BAI events of 2017 are as follows:
Durga Puja at the Hindu Temple on September 29th.
Laxmi Puja at the Hindu temple on October 5th
Bijoya on October 28th
And of course there is the Tri State Durga Puja in Dayton on October 7th and 8th. Hopefully we will have a significant turnout from IN in Dayton. If you haven't registered yet, please do so ASAP- Webber ego show some IN pride! Please make sure you are in the auditorium to support IN childrens performances on Saturday, and the adult Natok performance on Sunday.
